U.S. Commerce Secretary, Penny Pritzker, has appointed ISI Consultants’ Managing Director, Ross Ensor, to serve a second four-year term on the District Export Council in Washington D.C. Mr. Ensor was originally appointed to the Export Council in 2012 based upon his knowledge and experience from over 20 years of international business experience, working with U.S. companies to export their products and services to over 80 countries around the world.
Commenting on the appointment, Mr. Ensor said “It’s a great honor to be reappointed to a second term on the council, and be able to continue contributing to the President’s National Export Initiative. Being a member of the council in Washington D.C. gives a unique opportunity to work closely with senior U.S. government officials, foreign embassy and government representatives and U.S. company executives from across the country. And when you bring these groups together, as we often do, its amazing to see what can be accomplished in terms of fostering international trade.”
The Export Council is comprised of business leaders who work closely with the U.S. Department of Commerce, as well as other government agencies involved in international trade at the local, state and federal level, to help promote and facilitate U.S. exports that stimulate U.S. economic growth and create jobs.
Activities include advocacy on trade policy and legislation, supporting export programs, identifying export finance solutions and contributing to export education and awareness in the business community.
